The Project Analyst supports Project Managers and Operations by analyzing data, tracking progress and ensuring that projects stay on schedule and within budget. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across various phases of construction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Analyze project data to track progress, performance and financials.

  •  Assists in budget preparation and monitor spending to prevent cost overruns.

  •  Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

  •  Prepare detailed reports for project managers and stakeholders.

  •  Support scheduling and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.

  •  Coordinate communication between teams, vendors and clients.

  •  Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

  •  Perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  •  Knowledge and experience constructing projects for Federal and State Government agencies, such as U.S. Corps of Engineers, U.S. Air Force, and Alaska DOT. Ability and willingness to abide by the company’s code of conduct, policies and procedures.

  •  Comply, understand, and support the company’s safety culture to ensure a safe work environment.

  •  Strong knowledge, understanding and sensitivity to the Inupiat culture.

  •  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  •  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  •  Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or customers.

  •  Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

  •  Knowledge of building systems including, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire alarm.

  •  Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet assigned deadlines.

  •  Sound administrative skills, well-developed management skills-principles and people.

  •  Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.

  •  Ability to maintain confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field.
    • Years of applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of bachelor's degree.
  • 5 years' experience with increasingly responsible management positions within a construction company and/or business.
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products at the intermediate level.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any clearances required for the position, including military installation access.

Preferred

  • Experience estimating Government and private construction projects.
  • Experience utilizing USACE RMS 3.0 and other relevant project management systems.
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)

     

  • USACE CQW training.
  • USACE RMS training and experience.
  • Proficient using P6, Vista, Microsoft Office, WinEst.

The work environment is in a busy construction setting. The noise level in the work environment usually varies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may be required to travel in small and large commercial aircraft.
