The Potable/Greywater Truck Driver position is responsible for operating vac trucks, tankers or super suckers to pickup and deliver water, wastewater and other drilling related fluids from the facilities, camps and drilling rigs. Must be familiar with fluid transfer and manifesting procedures. Operators will be driving long distances over ice roads. This position supports the winter drilling season at Alpine.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (AND OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED)

  • Operate and maintain the equipment such as vac trucks, tankers, super suckers to load and unload water, waste water and other drilling related fluids from camps and facilities to include the drilling rigs. 
  • Will be required to work outside in cold and adverse weather conditions. 
  • Heavy physical labor required for handling hoses, valves, pumps and other equipment. 
  • Prepare, update, and maintain logs, records, manifest requirements and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor equipment operation and identify malfunctions.
  • Inspect, adjust, and perform minor equipment repairs.
  • Prepare and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Clean, store, and maintain equipment as required.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Within seven days of arrival at job location employee must demonstrate the ability to pass a written and practical competency equipment evaluation. 

High school diploma or GED with a minimum of three (3) years related experience and training required. Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment essential. Ice road driving experience required.

CERTIFICATIONS
Current DOT medical card and Class B commercial driver’s license with hazardous material endorsement required. Driving record must meet Company requirements. North Slope Training Cooperative certification is required.

A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:                                                               

  • Meet the AES Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy
  • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.                         
  • Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.
  • Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.

The availability of this position is contingent upon the Company’s continued operational needs once training is completed.
