The HVAC Technician is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing of facilities and equipment field wide. 




  • Provide HVAC services with specific responsibility for identifying, repairing, and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading HVAC systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at job site.
  • Inspect HVAC systems and their components (e.g. heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance.
  • Must understand the prioritization of safety, quality, and production, and be willing to work accordingly.  
  • Install, align, maintain, and repair oilfield production and processing equipment.
  • Perform a large amount of physical labor in process facilities and in the field, including but not limited to: lifting and installing parts, turning wrenches, using various electric and pneumatic tools. 
  • Comply with the requirements of D.O.T. regulations 49 CFR, Part 199, section 195.50, and 29CFR. 
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.




  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Valid driver’s license
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a Residential and/or Commercial HVAC role
  • Valid HVAC License




  • Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment
  • North Slope Training Cooperative certification

A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:

  • Meet the AES Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy. 
  • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.                         
  • Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.
  • Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
